Which flowers are considered a bad omen when given in sympathy?

I remember hearing that you shouldn’t give someone in hospital red and white flowers on account of it being a bad omen ..
I also remember someone telling me that there are rules regarding funerals/deaths, it was something that you should avoid putting on the coffin or a certain colour you should avoid as it will show the face of the next person to die . Or something along those lines!

Who Knows How Does A Funeral Home Keep All Of The Sympathy Flowers For A Funeral The Day Before Fresh?

Say that I died and you made all of my funeral arrangements and got everything out the way,what does the funeral home where my funeral will be at do to the sympathy flowers that my family will take home,are all of the flowers set up in the main room that the funeral will take place in or do they wait a couple of hours before the funeral and set everything up before family arrives.

Send Sympathy Flowers To Funeral Home Or Widow’s House?

My fiancé’s grandfather died today and I am unable to make the trip to be at the funeral. Out of respect for a wonderful man, I’d like to send flowers (or something deliverable) to his widow. Because I am close to the family, would it be proper to send the gift to their home they shared or to the funeral home?
Also, anything ideas for a more personal gift that I can send other than flowers?
